Terms & Conditions
Installation Work
a) All electrical installation work will comply with BS7671: 2018 Amd 2 and any amendments in force at the time of the works. Compliance includes providing appropriate certification or reports to the client for their records upon completion.
b) All electrical installation work will comply with applicable Building Regulations in force at the time of the works.
c) Where work is to extend or modify existing circuits, costs quoted assume that the existing installation is in adequate condition and complies with minimum current regulations. Any works found necessary to bring the existing installation up to standard will be at additional cost. The client will be informed of these costs through a written estimate or verbal agreement, and work will pause until explicit approval is received from the client.
d) Unless stated otherwise, all cables will be concealed by chasing into the building fabric or concealed in building voids, under floors, etc. Where impracticable, cabling will be neatly surface run, either clipped direct or housed in trunking/conduit. Any additional costs for trunking/conduit will be clearly communicated to the client.
e) Where carpet or flooring coverings may require lifting to allow concealed installation work, no charge is made for this service. Best efforts will be made to avoid damaging them and to refit them to an acceptable standard. However, it is advised that employing a specialist fitter may be prudent, at the client’s cost, to ensure a professional re-fit. The client will be informed of any potential risks or limitations associated with lifting and re-laying flooring prior to work commencing.
f) Where agreed beforehand and at an extra charge, chases to walls, etc., will be re-filled to 2mm below plaster finish depth. However, the final finishing of skim coat plaster and final decoration is excluded from the quoted work.
g) All endeavors will be made to undertake installation work to a clean standard, using dust sheets and vacuum cleaning equipment as necessary. However, dust is inevitable, and it may be necessary to hire a professional cleaner at the client’s discretion and cost.
h) Whilst undertaking the installation work at the property, the client is required to provide water and power free of charge.
i) For property rewires, the property must not be inhabited without prior agreement to ensure the safety and efficiency of the installation work.

Exclusions
a) Clearing and/or moving of furniture and other items blocking access to work areas is the responsibility of the client and is not included in the quoted costs. If access is not provided, delays or additional charges may apply.
b) Builders' work (e.g., creating holes larger than 50mm diameter, constructing support structures, etc.) is not included unless explicitly stated in sections 1d, 1e, and 1f above. Any builders' work required will either need to be arranged by the client or quoted separately if requested.
c) Re-decoration and final making good (e.g., painting, wallpapering) are excluded from quoted costs unless specifically detailed as included in the scope of work. This aligns with exclusions for final finishing outlined in section 1f.
d) Removal from site and disposal of rubble, fittings, wiring, materials, general waste, and packaging are not included in the quoted costs. We are not licensed to carry waste. The client is responsible for arranging appropriate waste disposal, or we can assist in identifying a licensed waste carrier if required.

Extras
a) Any additional work or changes to the agreed-upon scope will need to be discussed and confirmed before we begin.

d) All material costs are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
e) All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of the estimate or quotation.
